Do You Know How to Find Your Chill?

Running a business might be a route to greater freedom and more financial stability, but it is not always easy, right? Sometimes, it takes over and completely consumes you every waking moment, and plenty of the sleeping ones too. Looming deadlines, an upswing in customers and a sudden interest from the media, amongst other things, can be all it takes for business to get…well, busy, and when that happens, the last thing you want is to get stressed out, burnt out, and blow it all, right?
Well, here’s how to ensure that doesn’t happen, and that you can find your chill when you need it most.
Schedule Your Downtime Like a Meeting
If you don’t plan it, it won’t happen. Block out “nothing” time on your calendar, and defend it like your Wi-Fi password. This isn’t wasted time; it’s maintenance for your mind. Whether you use that block for a walk, a nap, or aimlessly staring into space, it counts. Your brain needs breathing room to keep firing on all cylinders.
Move Like You Mean It
You don’t need a full-blown gym session to shake off stress (though if that’s your thing, great). Even a 10-minute dance break, brisk walk, or quick stretch can reset your nervous system. Movement burns off stress hormones, clears mental fog, and helps you stop clenching your jaw like it owes you money.
Try this next time your brain feels fried: put on your favorite ridiculous song and move for the entire track. You’ll feel instantly less “boardroom meltdown,” more “main character energy.”
Get Out of Your Head
When business pressure hits, your mind can become an echo chamber of chaos. The cure? Get outside. Sunshine, fresh air, and a quick change of scenery are underrated forms of therapy. Go water your plants, walk your dog, or just stand on the porch like a Victorian ghost — anything that gives your brain a reset.
Consider a Chill-Assist (Yes, Really)
If you’re the kind of person who struggles to switch off, there are ways to help your body ease into relaxation. Some people find that fast-acting Delta 9 THC Indica gummies do the trick, helping the mind slow down and the body unclench after a long, stressful day. (Just make sure they’re legal where you live and always start small. The goal is mellow, not Mars.)
Other great options: herbal teas, magnesium, aromatherapy, or even just that deep-breathing app you downloaded six months ago and forgot about.
Reconnect With Why You’re Doing This
Stress can make you lose sight of the big picture. Take a moment to remind yourself why you started this business, and what parts still light you up. That emotional reset can turn frustration into focus.
Laugh. A Lot.
Seriously, humor is one of the best stress-busters there is. Listen to a funny podcast, swap memes with your coworkers, or just laugh at how absurd your to-do list looks. (Because if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry, and mascara is expensive.)
Time to find your chill, and be your business best!
